Verneda White is the Founder and Creative Director of HUMAN INTONATION, a premium, unisex apparel brand dedicated to raising awareness for pertinent social & human rights issues, while donating 20% of each sale to its non-profit partners.
Following her family’s personal experience with the devastation of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Verneda began designing men and women’s graphic t-shirts and other apparel made from her own original patterns, using organic cotton and sustainable materials, to draw attention to re-building efforts in the Gulf Coast. Her social outreach through fashion, related community events, and speaking engagements nationwide has since extended to education for children in Darfur, youth & minority HIV/AIDS prevention, and most recently the citizens of Haiti. Verneda has received support from the likes of Grammy Award Winning Artists such as Usher and Wyclef Jean, while most recently, Celebrity Lifestyle Mogul B. Smith wore her own Human Intonation tee during a cooking segment on The Wendy Williams Show.
As a 2008 graduate of EBS London, Verneda finished first in her International Business program earning a Masters of Business Administration with Distinction. In addition to her social enterprises, she is an accomplished Project Manager and Executive Producer of fashion, marketing, and non-profit events on the international stage. Verneda is an alumnus of Cornell University, having completed a B.S. Textile and Apparel Management and was awarded the honor of College of Human Ecology Outstanding Student. Verneda has lived in London, UK, and Hong Kong, CH since graduating from Cornell and now resides in New York City.
